WWE Diva Injured in Los Angeles SUV Pedestrian Accident
WWE Diva Lilian Garcia is showing signs of recovery two weeks after an SUV accident hospitalized her and kept her off the fighting ring. She since has since been transported to the comfort of her home where she is expected to complete her healing.
What seemed like a typical day to work out turned awry for the Diva when she was struck by an SUV on Friday 26th of October in Los Angeles.
Garcia, the SmackDown ring announcer and singer told WWE that she was hit by an SUV while she was working out. She was not in her vehicle at the time of the accident. According to her, it was “the most frightening thing” she has ever gone through, she told the publication.
Chris, Lilians’ husband told the press that his wife was released two days after the accident.
“Lilian has been released from the LA hospital, but is still under medical watch due to her body injuries,” he said. “The love, support and prayers from our immediate family, our friends and the WWE family and Universe is extremely heartfelt and strengthening during this unfortunate time.”
According to news publications, Garcia suffered from multiple contusions and lacerations on the left side of her body. To have her heal properly, doctors immobilized her neck.
“I’m suffering from head, neck and back trauma,” she said. “I have lacerations and wounds on the left side of my body.”
After the accident, Garcia was transported to the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, where she was under close medical care.
“Thanks to the UCLA medical team who took great care of me,” she said.
As of now, the ring announcer is under a lot of pain, but is feeling better. She is under pain medication and will have to allegedly check into the hospital for further testing next week when the swelling has subsided further. As far as her plans to go back to WWE in the near-future go, she is uncertain when she will be able to return.
“Hopefully I’m on the road to recovery,” she said. “I can’t stand sitting here and doing nothing. I miss being on the road for WWE and the fans. I just can’t wait to get back.”
It has been the strong support and love of her fans that has helped the WWE singer through the tough times she is undergoing.
“Thank you. The most amazing fans in the world are WWE fans,” Lilian said. “Thank you for the outpouring of love, well wishes and the support.”
