Bobby Brown Arrested For Driving Under the Influence in Los Angeles
Bobby Brown was arrested for a second time within a seven month period on Wednesday at Los Angeles. Auto accidents stemming from drinking and driving could be avoided to a certain extent. However, according to authorities, the driver failed to oblige with the law and spend time in jail until he posted bail. It was not his first second time in jail for a DUI, there have been at least two other occasions. Los Angeles auto accident attorney’s advice to the public is not to drink alcohol and drive.
Known as Whitney Houston’s ex-husband and as a New Edition singer, the man of 43-years-old was pulled over by authorities a short time before 1 a.m. for a traffic violation that was based on the arresting officer’s observation.
Pulled over at the busy Ventura Blvd. in Tarzana, Calif. about four miles from the Encino of his residence, Brown listened as the officer began to tell him why he had pulled him over. Then, the smell of alcohol reached the officer and he issued a field sobriety test on the spot for the singer.
“He failed a combination of the field sobriety test and the breathalyzer. It sounds like he was cooperative,” Sgt. Pablo Monterrosa with the Los Angeles Police Department told the Daily News.
According to NY Daily News, police said Brown was booked and released within hours on $25,000 bail.
This is not the singer’s first DUI arrests. As a result of his DUI arrest in March, he was forced to spend time in rehab during the summer. On March 26th, the driver was pulled over when authorities noticed he was talking on his cell phone while operating a vehicle. When they approached his car, he smelled of alcohol and was issued a sobriety test, police said.
Someone that was a source in Brown’s camp said he had alcohol in his system from drinking he did the night before. The incident happened about a week after officials revealed that his ex-wife Houston had cocaine in her system when she accidentally drowned in a hotel bathtub on Feb. 11th.
Back in 1996 Brown was arrested for drunk driving and sentenced to five days behind bars for crashing Houston’s Porsche. Authorities found that he had a blood-alcohol level that was nearly three times the legal limit.
Then in 2000, the singer spent more time in jail after the court-ordered drug test showed that he had traces of cocaine in his blood.
